I have created my own top movies list on several occasions.

1. 2001: A Space Oddesy    Released 1968.
   Directed by Stanley Kubrick. Commonly rated one of the best movies of all time.
2. Groundhog Day    Released 1995.
   A very funny and very deep film about the nature of time, morality, choice, and god-hood. Humor this good it really says something important about the life we lead.
3. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Released 1980.
   The pivotal movie in the trilogy. The perfect action-adventure film. More mature than Star Wars, not a weighed down by baggage as the Return of the Jedi.
4. The Seven Samurai Released in 1954.
   The greatest Samurai film ever made, and one of the finest films in any genre. This film was Kurosawa's first great film and one that he never equaled, though some of his later films were almost a good.
